Shirley Lee (McKivrigain) Petrovic, age 87, of West View, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 after an 8 yearlong battle with Dementia. Shirley was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 3, 1935 to the late Joann Grace (Morse) Delahanty and the late William Owen McKivrigain. She was a natural cook, could sew, and loved to crochet. She made many blankets for her children and grandchildren. She also was a very good artist and used those talents to make homemade dolls. She had a funny personality with a lot of facial expressions that made you laugh. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She also had a feisty, independent side to her that all together made her a very unique and special person. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ronald McKivrigain, her foster parents, Raymond and Hazel Arnold, her granddaughter, Hannah Milbert, and her cat, KitKat.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Michael O. Davis (Lynn) of Brunswick, OH; Douglas J. Marshall (Deb) of Evan City, PA; and David L. Aiken (Lisa) of Enon Valley, PA, her daughters, Maureen J. Milbert (Eric) of New Brighton, PA; and Francine L. Aiken of Ben Avon, PA; 18 grandchildren: Chris, Aimee, Becky, Gabrielle, Jennifer, Laura (Rocky), Matthew (Emily), Emily (Matthew), Marissa (Sam), David Jr., Ashley (Mike), Sean, Brianna (Ed), Tiffany (Todd), Jessica (Andrew), Brian, Zachary, and Julia, as well as 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Our family would like to personally thank Theresa for her exceptional care and the staff at ProMedica that cared for our mother. As per Shirley’s request, she will be cremated and no funeral or memorial service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to the Rex T. Smith Funeral Home.
