Patrick F. Shannon, Sr.
Age 73, of Ross Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Patrick was the son of the late John T. Sr. and Mary (Bann) Shannon. He was the beloved husband of Helen G. (Zinsser) Shannon. Patrick was father to Michelle L. Shannon and Patrick F. Shannon Jr., and stepfather to Dennis V. (Marie) Felix-Shannon.

He was a forever loving "Pap" and best friend to his granddaughter, Lily, and a proud grandfather to Raylen, Chelsea, and Alexis. Patrick is also survived by his siblings Charlotte Shannon, Jacquelyn Boggs, and Michael Shannon. He was preceded in death by his siblings Christine, Mary, and John T. Shannon, Jr. He will be deeply missed by his nephews, niece, extended family, and friends.

Patrick dedicated 45 years of service to the Pittsburgh Press Post-Gazette, where he was a valued colleague and friend. His leadership and dedication extended to his role as Vice President and Business Agent of Local Union #9, where he proudly served his fellow union members for 15 years.

Family and friends are invited on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2-6 PM at the Rex T. Smith Funeral Home, 2860 Perrysville Avenue, North Side.
